Varroxsan is a natural, oxalic acid-based treatment designed for effective control of Varroa destructor mites in honeybee colonies. Presented as slow-release fibreboard strips, Varroxsan delivers a sustained and controlled dose of oxalic acid dihydrate (18.42% w/w), achieving high efficacy without harming bees, the beekeeper, or the environment.

How Varroxsan Works
Each strip is made from resilient fibreboard that resists removal by bees, ensuring prolonged exposure and effectiveness. The uniform impregnation process guarantees that every strip contains exactly 7g of active ingredient, providing consistent results every time. Oxalic acid acts as a contact acaricide — lethal to mites upon contact — and covers at least three varroa mite life cycles during the treatment period.

Application Instructions

Dosage: 1 strip per 2.5 brood frames covered with bees (e.g., 4 strips for a standard 10-frame brood box)
Placement: Fold each strip in half and insert between brood frames
Treatment Duration: 42–56 days, then remove and dispose of strips responsibly
Storage & Shelf Life
Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight, pesticides, or foodstuffs. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Shelf life is 24 months from date of manufacture.
