VespaCatch Attractant 10ml Yellow-legged Asian Hornet

VespaCatch attractant (available in 1L bottles or single-dose units) are specifically designed for the Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) also called Yellow-legged hornet.  In New Zealand conditions, VespaCatch attractant combined with the VespaCatch Original Trap is also effective against the common wasp (Vespula vulgaris) and German wasp (Vespula germanica).

For each trap, blend and pour into the black container cup (VespaCatch Select), Yellow container cup (VespaCatch Original) –

• 10ml VespaCatch attractant
• 50g sugar
• 200 ml water

Make sure to position the Anti drowning filter correctly above the liquid (VespaCatch Select), to prevent drowning of the other insects.

We recommend refreshing the attractant every three weeks (maximum) to ensure its effectiveness.  Placing a hornet, dead or alive, inside the yellow container can also increase the trap’s effectiveness by attracting more hornets.  Avoid washing the trap, to preserve the scent of the hornets.
